AI-TW Prototype

As part of the AI-Transparent WOOD project, we have developed the first prototype of an Embeddable Luminous Film (ELF) integrating transparent wood from our partner Finieris. The prototype combines transparent wood substrates with a printed silver-ink electrical circuit and an OLED light source from Inuru, powered by two 3V batteries. A hot-melt backing layer enables future integration into labels and other Inuru products. In this concept, transparent wood serves both as a structural base for the circuitry and as a light-transmitting surface for the OLED. While challenges remain — such as improving flatness and transparency — this first prototype already demonstrates the strong potential of transparent wood for real-world, functional applications.
